Fabiola Marquez Jamieson was born in Mexico after her family moved from Guatemala and now considers Utah home. She received a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and Bachelor of Science in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University-Provo. Fabiola is a Certified Social Worker (CSW).  She specializes in sexual abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, oppositional defiance, and conduct disorder. She has practiced individual, group, and family therapy for several years, and she has a deep passion for helping others heal.  She loves to hike, read, crochet, and exercise.  Her favorite past time is spending time with her family especially playing hide and go seek with her son. She is currently studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and hopes to integrate social work with midwifery to offer high quality care to expectant mothers and their families.

Kendra Partida is an advanced student at Birth Rite Women’s Center, and taking primary clients under the supervision of our CPM as she completes her training as a Certified Professional Midwife herself. She has been passionate about natural childbirth since she first began attending laboring women and babies in 2006. After the peaceful home birth of her 2nd child in 2007, she knew she wanted to be a Certified Professional Midwife. She is a birth activist who believes that the whole of humanity can heal, when we heal our birth practices. Kendra  considers every single birth she has witnessed an honor and privilege to have been a part of, no mater where or how each birth has taken place. She is committed to empowering and supporting women and families through educating and allowing them to choose what is best for them as individuals. She believes every birth is a sacred miracle. Kendra is a compassionate care giver with an artistic eye who hopes to beautifully combine and entwine her 3 chosen paths of motherhood, art and midwifery for the rest of her life.

 

Tara Tulley is a Licensed Direct Entry Midwife (LDEM), and Certified Social Worker (CSW). Tara has been a practicing homebirth midwife since 1999, and recently added social work to her scope of practice. Tara received her midwifery degrees from the Midwives College of Utah, and is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). Tara received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) through the University of Utah. Tara is also knowledgeable in sports nutrition, is an ultramarathon runner and Mauy Thai Boxer. Tara is interested in integrative methods including nutrition, experience through body movement, thought and emotional awareness to achieve harmonious living, better emotional regulation, and working through life experiences. Tara is experienced in working with birth trauma, grief and loss, sexual abuse, domestic violence, oppositional defiance, eating disorders, complex trauma, and psychosomatic effects on the body related to negative past body experiences. Tara continues to attend homebirths, train student midwives, and integrates emotional and body awareness into prenatal care. Tara is a certified instructor of the Prenatal Parenting Program developed by Dr. Fredrick Wirth.

 

Tylyn Weight was born and raised in the mouth of Provo Canyon where her family run a fifth-generation fruit orchard.  She loves the safety of the ragged mountains. She and her husband, Tad, currently live in the mouth of Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville. They have seven children ranging from age 6 to 25.  Through their 26 years of marriage they have fostered several at-risk teenagers and have been professional parents to children with disabilities.  After having her fourth child, Tylyn become interested in the option of natural childbirth and was empowered with the knowledge of what a woman’s body and mind is capable of doing.  She has since taken every opportunity to share this understanding with others and has been a support and coach to couples in their quest for birthing naturally.  She loves hard work, setting goals, reading self-improvement books, running marathons, and spending time as a family.  She is currently studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) where she can assist others in this journey of empowerment.

 

Stacey Williams is a birth and post-partum doula at the Birth Rite Women’s Center, and is currently studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). Stacey brings with her 10 years of medical experience working as a CNA and Medical Assistant in hospitals, clinics and home-care settings. She is the mother of 2 beautiful boys, and is passionate about helping women through the joys and trials of birthing. Stacey strongly believes that pregnancy and birth are significant life transformations, and that every woman should be surrounded by people who are willing and able to give support through this transformation. Knowledge is power, and Stacey focuses on empowering the maternal intuition in order to help mothers make the best choices for their bodies and their families. Stacey teaches that if a mother will combine education with her inner-self she will be prepared to make the best choices in any circumstance. When Stacey’s not helping other women feel empowered by the birthing process, you can find her playing with her husband and 2 boys. They love to go camping, 4-wheeling and to play in the mud together.
