Midwifery Skills classes are held most Fridays from 9 to 1pm at Birth Rite Women’s Center. Our classes focus on covering the Practical Skills Guide for Midwifery found at MorningStar Publishing.

Birth Rite Women’s Center Community Event:

Birth Skills Mastery Day April 14th
Time: 8am to 6pm
Cost: Free! Bring Potluck
Description: This will be a birth community simulated homebirth complications, transport, and emergency skills-mastery day. This event is open to anyone who would like to understand and practice management of out-of-hospital birth emergencies. Midwives, student midwives, doulas, parents, emts, paramedics, and any other interested party is invited.
Location: 1944 E 600 S Springville (This is Tara’s new home that it will be held at, unless we have too high of an interest, then we will move to a larger facility in Springville).

We especially would love midwives who are approved to sign off as preceptors for students who are on the CPM track to help instruct, observe, and participate in the simulated birth emergencies. This will be a very fun and informative day!.
